William Kehoe, a lifelong resident of Rock Island, Illinois, passed away peacefully on April 27, 2026, at Friendship Manor in Rock Island. Born on March 16, 1941, Mr. Kehoe's life was marked by dedication, intelligence, and a warm, witty spirit that endeared him to all who knew him.

From an early age, William showed a commitment to family, joining his family’s enterprise, Lofgren Distributing Company, at just 14 years old. The company, known for its wholesale distribution of televisions and appliances, was central to his life until his retirement in 1985. 

Educationally, William was grounded in his community, though he sought broader horizons. He graduated from Rock Island High School and furthered his education at Moline Community College before attending Drake University. These institutions helped shape his thoughtful and insightful approach to life, something many admired in him.

Beyond his professional and academic life, William was widely recognized for his sharp wit and humor. He possessed a remarkable memory and was always well-versed in political matters, engaging in thoughtful discussions that reflected both his depth of knowledge and his interest in the world around him. His passions also included reading and staying informed on current events, which brought him great joy throughout his years.

William's family was central to his life. He is survived by his siblings, David Kehoe and Helen Fuller, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, his beloved wife Linda Kehoe, and his brother Dan Kehoe.
