Susan G. Carlson, 77, of Moline, IL, passed away on January 22, 2026, at Celebrate of Moline. Born on March 31, 1948, in Moline, IL, the daughter of Dale and Rose Satory. Sue was known for her creative spirit, social nature, and resourcefulness.

Her educational journey began at Moline High School, followed by her attendance at Western Illinois University. Sue went on to earn her associate's degree from Black Hawk College, where her dedication to learning laid the foundation for a sharp mind that many sought out for information and resources throughout her life. She worked many years at Younkers Department Store in the cosmetics department and, most notably, as the manager of the Elizabeth Arden Cosmetic Counter.

Sue had a profound love for animals, particularly her cats, and was an ardent reader. Her creativity was evident in her interactions with friends and family, as she enjoyed sharing ideas and engaging in meaningful conversations.

Though she was an only child, Sue carried the legacy of her parents, Dale and Rose Satory, who preceded her in death while Sue was in her twenties.

In her passing, she leaves behind her very good friends, Delma Rekes, Linda Madsen, Sue Hodge, Kathleen Trevor, and Jeff Johnston, as well as the many friends she had at Celebrate of Moline. They will remember her for her kindness, intelligence, and vibrant spirit. Her legacy will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her.
