Steve William Cassady, 68, of Moline, Illinois, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 5, 2025, at OSF Healthcare in Peoria, IL.

Born and raised in Moline, Steve spent his entire career at Illini Hospital, which later became Genesis Medical Center, working as a skilled and dedicated HVAC technician. His strong work ethic and friendly spirit left a lasting impression on everyone he worked with.

Steve had many passions in life, including hypnosis, martial arts, playing the bagpipes, Morse code, and cooking. He was a kind, caring man who loved good food and good company, and he was always happiest when surrounded by family and friends.

He is survived by his daughter, Amy Kelley, and her husband, Tom; his daughter, Brandi Anderson, and her husband, Ross; and his son, Daniel Cassady, and his partner, Amber Straw. He is also lovingly remembered by his seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 9, 2025, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Wendt Funeral Home, 1811 15th Street Place, Moline, Illinois, followed by a brief funeral service at 12:30 p.m. A private burial will take place later for the family.

Steve will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
