Rollie "Dave" McKitrick, 73, of Moline, IL, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 14, 2022 at River Crossing of Moline.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, January 20, 2022, 1 pm at Wendt Funeral Home, Moline, IL, with a visitation from 11 am - 1 pm, prior to the service. Burial will follow at the Rock Island National Cemetery with military rites accorded by American Legion Post #246.

Rollie "Dave" was born on February 12, 1948 in Ottumwa, IA the son of Albert and Betty Edna (French) McKitrick. His mother survives. He graduated from United Township High School class of 1966. He served in the United States Air Force from 1969-1971 during the Vietnam era. In November of 1966, he married Clarlanona Licht, they later divorced. During the past many years he had a significant other, Roberta Wood who passed away in 2021. Throughout his career he worked for several of the school districts as a mechanic. His biggest enjoyment in life was "hanging out" with his grandkids.

He is survived by his mother, Betty Edna McKitrick; his children: Shelly (Mark) Hoover, Silvis, IL, Tracy (David) Prochaska, Eldridge, IA, Regina (Adam) Versluis, Hampton, VA; David McKitrick, Galva, IL, and Jessica McKitrick, Davenport, IA; sisters, Mary (Ross) Beedle, Monmouth, IL, Ruth Rupe, Ottumwa, IA, a brother, Bob (Kathy) McKitrick of Mesa, AZ along with twelve grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Crystal Westerlund, his father, Albert McKitrick, and his brothers, Steve and Kenneth McKitrick.
