Born on June 21, 1940, Bob was the son of Fredrick and Dorothy Bloomer-Fauble. He graduated from Aledo High School and the former MIT College in Davenport, IA. Bob began his career in banking before transitioning into the plumbing industry, where he followed his passion. He began his career in the plumbing department at Sears and progressed to become a licensed journeyman, eventually owning and operating Bloomer and Fry Plumbing for over 40 years. His strong work ethic and dedication to quality made him a trusted name throughout the community.
Bob was a longtime member of both the Lindsey Yacht Club and 15th Avenue Christian Church of Rock Island, where he formed lifelong friendships and shared in fellowship and faith. He had a deep love for the water and cherished his time boating and teaching his children to water ski. He also enjoyed golfing and, most of all, making memories with his beloved grandchildren.
On May 25, 2002, he married Ann “Annie” Wainwright in Moline, IL. Their marriage was filled with love, laughter, and unwavering support for one another.
Bob is survived by his devoted wife, Annie; his children: Michelle Peterson of Waynesville, NC, Douglas Bloomer of Bradenton, FL, Todd (Makenzie) Bloomer of Jonesboro, GA, David (Brenda) DeWilfond of Calgary, Alberta, Canada, Lisa (Jay) Christopher of Moline, and Terry (Tedgie) Christopher of Moline. He is also survived by his sister and a cherished group of grandchildren and great-grandchildren who brought him immeasurable joy. He was preceded in death by his parents, a stepfather, and his brother, Richard.
Bob will be remembered for his warmth, integrity, and generous heart. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched, the family he loved, and the values he instilled.
