Raul "Roo" Fuentes, born on November 23, 1959, in Chicago, Illinois, passed away peacefully on January 15, 2026, at his home. Raul leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.

Raul embarked on his professional journey with Tyson IBP, before moving on to Midwest Metals. His career culminated at Seaburg Industries, witnessing his commitment and hard work throughout his employment.

An avid fan of the LA Rams, Raul was known for his spirited enthusiasm for football. He found joy in fishing and spending time with his family, particularly his children and grandchildren, who brought him immense happiness.

He is survived by his children, Christopher (Abigail) Fuentes of Moline and Jordan Fuentes of Rock Island. His grandchildren, Gabriella, Cole, and Sophia, and great-grandchild Ronan. Raul is also survived by mother, Josephine Johnson; Moline, brothers, Randall Bates and Erick (Christine) Peterson, as well as many nieces and nephews who held a special place in his heart.

Raul will be profoundly missed by those who had the honor of knowing him. His life was a tapestry woven with laughter, love, and unforgettable moments, and his spirit will continue to resonate within the hearts of his family and friends.

Memorial services will be 4pm-6pm on Thursday, January 22nd at Wendt Funeral Home, Moline, IL
