Patrick Whitcanack

Patrick Whitcanack, born on June 22, 1950, in Moline, Illinois, passed away on August 16, 2025, at Mercy One Genesis in Davenport, Iowa. He leaves behind a legacy marked by dedication and a profound love for his family. Memorials may be made to QCPaws or McCausland Methodist Church, Long Grove, IA.

Patrick was a devoted father and an enthusiastic supporter of his sons, Van and Christopher, who reside in East Moline, Illinois, and McCausland, Iowa, respectively. He cherished attending their wrestling and track meets, never missing a single event. His passion for sports extended to coaching Junior Panther Football for a short time.

Outside of work and family, Patrick found joy in the simple pleasures of life, whether it was spending time fishing, golfing, or caring for the animals that enriched his life, especially his beloved cats.

Patrick is survived by his two sons, Van Whitcanack and Christopher Whitcanack (Danielle), as well as five grandchildren who will carry his memory forward. He is also remembered by his siblings: sister Debbie (Greg) Bonnett of Milan, Illinois, brother Mike (Tina) Whitcanack of East Moline, Illinois, and brother Todd Whitcanack of Milan, Illinois.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dale and Frances Whitcanack, grandparents John and Della Whitcanack, and Ira and Nina Chipman. Patrick's spirit will remain alive in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who had the fortune to cross paths with him.
