Patrick John Douglas, 66, of Moline, passed away Thursday, August 7, 2025, at his residence surrounded by family.

Visitation is Sunday, August 10th from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Wendt Funeral Home, 1811 15th Street Place, Moline. Funeral Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorials can be made to the family or The Tunnel to Towers Foundation.

Pat was born May 22, 1959, in Moline, Illinois, the son of Gilbert and Helen (Lafferty) Douglas. He married Sheri Schneekloth on September 17, 1988, at Faith Lutheran Church. Over the years, Pat held many roles, but one of his favorites was driving for Tri-State Travel, which allowed him to spend one month driving at the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City. Afterwards, he went on to work for Ecolab, which was another job he truly enjoyed. 

Pat loved fishing, watching baseball and hockey, and spending time with his grandchildren.

Pat is survived by his wife of 37 years, Sheri; children Jon (Keisha) Douglas, Matt (Vanessa) Douglas, and Katie (Mike) Mertel; grandchildren Autumn, Charlotte, Dylan, Rowan, and Florence; mother Helen Douglas; and siblings Mary Frances (Jon) Miles, Trudy (Terry) O’Melia, and Kenneth (Reesa) Douglas; along with many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father Gilbert Douglas and brothers Kevin and Timothy Douglas.
