Patricia
McLane
October 12, 1938 – May 26, 2026
We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Patricia Ann McLane “Nana Pat” (Parks), who passed away peacefully, surrounded by family. Patricia lived a long and beautiful life filled with love, kindness, friendship, and devotion to her family. Her warmth and gentle spirit touched everyone who knew her, and her memory will forever remain in the hearts of those she loved.
Patricia was born on October 12, 1938. She met her loving husband, Coram Von McLane Jr., while attending the Moline Institute of Commerce, and they were later married in Moline on April 12, 1959. He preceded her in death on September 2, 2002. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Glenn and Dena (Hix) Parks; her brothers, Harold, Wayne, and Raymond Parks; her in-laws, Coram Von and Sarah Luella (Starr) McLane, Sr.; her lifelong best friends, Lyn Duffy and Kathy Gooch; and her beloved dog, Hannah Banana.
A strong and resilient woman, Patricia was also a breast cancer survivor whose courage and determination inspired everyone around her.
She is survived by her daughter, Cherie Ann Genz (Robert Genz Jr.); her son, Michael Von McLane (Tonya McLane); and her cherished grandchildren, Jacob Genz, Sarah Genz, and Brittany McLane (Shawn Gallens). She was also blessed with one great-grandson, Ezra Gallens, as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and countless friends.
Patricia spent many years working at Highland Park Bowling Alley and JSB Signs and Graphics.
She was an outgoing and loving Nana who welcomed many “adopted” grandchildren into her heart and home.
She enjoyed spending time with friends, going to lunch outings, attending craft shows, and ceramics, which she called her "therapy." Patricia will always be remembered for her kindness, laughter, strength, and the love she gave so freely to everyone around her.
Though Patricia may no longer walk beside us, her spirit and love will continue to live on in our hearts forever.
A celebration of Patricia’s life is being planned, and details will be shared once arrangements are finalized.
Please join us in celebrating and honoring the life of Patricia “Nana Pat” McLane by sharing memories and condolences on her memory page at www.wendtfuneralhome.com.
