Nell B. Flenker, 86, of Rock Island, IL, died Friday, November 30, 2007, at the Silver Cross Rehabilitation Pavilion at Friendship Manor in Rock Island. Nell B. Kraklow was born on January 12, 1921, to Frank and Ethel (Huggins) Kraklow in Sherrard, IL. She married Robert C. Flenker on June 14, 1942, in Coal Valley, IL. He preceded her in death October 31, 2005. Before her retirement, she worked as a bookkeeper for the former Pope Insurance Company of Moline, IL. She was a long-time member of First Congregational Church in Moline, a member of the Congregators at the church, and the Kings Daughters. Nell loved to travel, and was a member of the Go See Go Club. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 4th, from Noon until Service time at 1:00 P.M. at Wendt Funeral Home in Moline. Burial will be in National Cemetery, Arsenal Island, in Rock Island. Memorials may be made to First Congregational Church in Moline, or Friendship Manor in Rock Island. Survivors include: two daughters: Jill (Douglas) Anderson of Paw Paw, IL., and Peggy (David) Murphy of Houston, TX.; a granddaughter: Darby (Johnny) Tullos of Tarkington, TX.; two grandsons: Nate (Cristyl) Murphy of Woodlands, TX, and Ryan (Jayla) Murphy of Houston, TX.; a Great Granddaughter: Hannah Murphy of Houston, TX.; and two Great Grandsons: Christian Murphy of Houston, TX., and Mitchel Tullos of Tarkington, TX. She was preceded in death by her husband, and a brother, Dale Kraklow.
