Michael L. Young, 50, of Davenport, IA, passed away Saturday, January 31, 2015, at the home of his parents in Moline, IL. Services will be Wednesday, February 4th, at Wendt Funeral Home in Moline, at 1:00 p.m., with a two-hour visitation prior to the service beginning at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens in East Moline, IL. Memorials may be made to Timothy’s House of Hope in Davenport. Michael was born in Moline on August 26, 1964, to Jack and Pauline (Blanchard) Young. He graduated with the Class of 1983 from Moline High School, graduated from Black Hawk College in Moline, and attended Iowa State in Ames. IA. He enjoyed college football, his favorite team being Ohio State, and he loved volunteering at Timothy’s House of Hope. Survivors are his parents, Jack and Pauline Young of Moline; a sister, Debbie (Dan) Schafer of Rock Island, IL; and a brother, Bob (Lori) Saemisch of Rock Island.
