Mary N. Peterson, 94, of Mesa, AZ, formerly of Moline, IL, passed away Thursday, August 1, 2013, at Banner Desert Medical Center in Mesa, AZ. Visitation will be Thursday, August 8th, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., at Wendt Funeral Home in Moline. Services will be Friday, August 9th, at 1:00 p.m., at the funeral home. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gadens in Silvis, IL. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association. Mary Nedra Farmer was born in Atlanta, MO, on March 30, 1919, to Ezra and Alma (Thomas) Farmer. On April 10, 1941, in Moline, she married Robert Peterson, who preceded her in death March 18, 1986. She graduated from Atlanta High School, in Atlanta, MO. Mary enjoyed playing bingo and cards, bowling, and crafting, and especially loved spending time with family and friends. Survivors include, daughters: Ruth Bisby of Moline, and Sandy (Dennis) Boone of Showlow, AZ; son: Steven (Roxanne) Peterson of Coal Valley, IL; sisters: Valda Grafton and Theda Smithson, both of LaPlata, MO; brother: Derwin Farmer of Kansas City, MO; seven grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Donald, and a sister, Beverly.
