Marcelline J. McPherson, 94, of Moline, IL, passed away Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at Hope Creek Nursing Home, East Moline, IL.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at Wendt Funeral Home in Moline. Services will be on Wednesday at noon at the funeral home. Burial will be at Rock Island National Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Special Olympics.

Marcelline Rial was born in Fort Dodge, IA, on May 20, 1929, to James and Genevieve (Steinhoff) Rial. After high school, she started working at Cargill Inc. in Fort Dodge, then transferred to Minneapolis, and later to Cedar Rapids, IA, where she met her husband Donald Miles McPherson, the love of her life, whom she married on July 3, 1954. Marcelline's hobbies included dancing, playing golf, traveling, and attending Iowa football games.

Survivors include her children: Martha Radosevich, Moline, IL, D.J. (Heidi) McPherson, Maricopa, AZ, Jenny (David) Anthony, Moline, IL, and Scott (Debbie) McPherson, Moline, IL; grandchildren: Andrew, Elizabeth, Hannah, Jimmy, Molly, Ian, Miles, Michael, Kellene, Caroline, Marcelline, Amanda, and Clayton; great-grandchildren: Liam, Jaxon, Madison, Mya, Payton, James, William, Eleanor, and Walter.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Don, on January 12, 2008; eight brothers and four sisters.
