Larry Dithmart, 65, of Rock Island, IL, died Saturday, July 12, 2014, at UnityPoint-Trinity Medical Center in Rock Island. Services will be Thursday, July 17th, at 12:00 Noon, at Wendt Funeral Home in Moline, IL, with a one-hour visitation from 11:00 a.m. until time of the service. Burial will be in National Cemetery on Arsenal Island in Rock Island. Memorials may be made to the family. Larry D¬¬ale Dithmart was born in Clinton, IA, on August 28, 1948, to Dale and Pauline (Fredrickson) Dithmart. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1965 until 1970. He was a Millwright for twenty years, and belonged to, and worked out of, Local Union #2158 in Bettendorf, IA. Survivors include: daughters, Denise May of Clinton, Michelle Dithmart of Moline, and Ashley Dithmart of Atchison, KS; sons, Larry Dithmart and Ronald May, both of Clinton, and Jeffrey Dithmart of Milan, IL; a sister, Diane Dithmart of Phoenix, AZ; a brother, Michael Dithmart of Muscatine, IA; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
