Kathryn Philippe, age 79, of Moline, IL. died Wednesday, January 10, 2007, at Riverpark Healthcare Center in Rock Island, IL. Kathryn Chumbley was born on January 5, 1928, to Estes and Tishie Mason Chumbley in Trenton, MO. She married Robert V. Philippe on January 26, 1946, in Moline, IL. He preceded her in death on June 18, 1987. Kathryn was a home maker, and enjoyed gardening. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 13, 2007, at Rose Lawn Cemetery in Moline, with arrangements being handled by Wendt Funeral Home of Moline, IL. Survivors include one son: Mike Philippe of Cedar Rapids, IA; one brother: Ken Chumbley of Eldridge, IA, two grandchildren: Zach Philippe of Cedar Rapids, IA, and Michelle Andon of Port Byron, IL; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
