Joyce Evelyn Frazier

Joyce E. Frazier, 85, of Silvis, IL, died Tuesday, July 29, 2008, at Park View Terrace, East Moline, IL. Joyce Evelyn Sellers was born August 29, 1922, in Moline, IL, the daughter of Ed and Lottie Brown Sellers. She married Ken Frazier in Greenville, IL, and he preceded her in death in October of 1966. She was a graduate of Moline High School. She owned and operated the Lake Roy Lodge in Winter Haven, FL, and later in life became a hairdresser. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Winter Haven. She enjoyed the Casino Rock Island, and playing cards with family and friends. A memorial gathering for family and friends was held on Saturday, August 2nd in Moline. Services and burial were conducted in Winter Haven, FL. Survivors include: her daughter, Dolly Freeman of Moline; a son, Ken Frazier of Rock Island; a granddaughter, Ivy Villa; three great-grandchildren; three sisters: Donna Hudson of Moline, Corky Johnston of Anaheim, CA, and Bonnie Okanowski of Winter Haven; and one brother: Earl Sellers of Durant, IA.
