Joan Canfield, 83, of Moline, IL, died Monday, January 5, 2015, at UnityPoint/Trinity West in Rock Island, IL. Per her wishes, private family services will be held. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens in East Moline, IL. Memorials may be made to the St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. Joan Schneekloth was born in Luverne, MN, on July 13, 1931, to Henry and Mildred (Alsman) Schneekloth. She married Gary Canfield in November, 1971. She was a waitress at Balla’s Airport Inn, and then at Oakwood Country Club, for many years. She loved spending time with her children, especially her four grandchildren. Survivors include her husband, Gary; sons Jason (Juana) Canfield of Milan, IL, and Jeff Green of Moline; a sister Mary Sandler of Moline; a brother Carl (Linda) Schneekloth of Rock Island; and grandchildren: Morgan and Ashlynn Canfield and Kaitlyn and Connor Green. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Dennis Schneekloth, and a brother-in-law Duane Sandler.
