Jay R. Elliott of Moline passed away on Monday, May 17, 2021, after a prolonged illness.

Service will be Tuesday, May 25, 2021, at Wendt Funeral Home at 5:30 pm with visitation before the service beginning at 3:00 pm. Followed by a Celebration of Life gathering at the Svithiod Club, 1522 - 6th Avenue Moline, IL. Inurnment will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens in East Moline, IL, at a later date.

Memorials may be made to the family.

Jay was born in Moline, IL, attended Moline High School, and joined the Millwright Union Local #2158 in 1982. He retired from the Millwrights after a career spanning four decades. Jay enjoyed the races, especially Nascar, fishing, and hanging out with friends at his home.

Survivors include his daughter, Jessica (Paul) Dote, his grandson, Joey, and several nieces, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his Life Partner, Lou Ann Hampton; his mother and father Agnes M. (Denton) Elliott and Donald F. Elliott; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Craig E Elliott, Roger (Mary) Elliott, Cole (Terry) Elliott.
