Howard Willis, 86, of East Moline, IL, passed away peacefully Thursday, November 10, 2022, at River Crossing of Moline.

Graveside services will be Tuesday, November 15, 2022, at 10:00 am, at Rock Island National Cemetery on the arsenal, with military honors conducted. Those wishing to attend can meet at Wendt Funeral Home at 9:30 am.

Howard was born in Kewanee, IL, on September 7, 1936, to Harry and Mable (Bender) Willis. He married Phyllis Eckhart and was later divorced; she survives him.

He served in the U.S. Navy from 1952 to 1954. He worked at Oscar Meyer for 30 years.

Howard was a member of the Christian Motorcyclists Association and the Goldwing Motorcycle Club.

Survivors include daughter Patti Zyzanski; two grandchildren; brothers David Willis, Rockford, IL, and Gerald Willis, Moline, IL; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his daughter Julie Willis, his parents, and sister Ruth Modes.
