Herbert Allen, 86, of Rock Island, IL, passed away on September 11, 2025, at his home surrounded by his family.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., followed by a Service of Sharing and Words of Remembrance at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 18, 2025, at Wendt Funeral Home in Moline, IL. The Committal Service with military honors conducted by Colona American Legion, will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, September 19, 2025, at Rock Island National Cemetery in Rock Island, IL. Family and friends who wish to attend the Committal Service are asked to meet at the Wendt Funeral Home parking lot by 12:30 p.m. to join the procession.
