Glenn Russell Anderson, born on December 13, 1942, in Moline, Illinois, passed away unexpectedly on September 15, 2025, at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria, Illinois. He was a dedicated pipe setter for IBEW Local 309, where he spent many years contributing his skills and knowledge to the trade. His dedication to family and community matched Glenn's commitment to his profession.
He graduated from Moline High School before furthering his education at Black Hawk College, where he earned an Associate's Degree. This foundation paved the way for a prosperous career in the skilled trades, and he was well-respected by peers and colleagues alike.
Glenn's personal life was marked by his loving marriage to Mary Good, whom he wed on December 20, 1963, in Silvis, Illinois. Together, they built a nurturing home in Moline, Illinois. Glenn is survived by his devoted wife, Mary; their son Robert (Dawn) Anderson; and their daughter Leatha Anderson, both residing in Moline, Illinois. He took great pride in his family, which includes six cherished grandchildren: Charlotte Cox, Arron Waterman, Harold Anderson, Sarah Anderson, Heather Anderson, and Ian Anderson, as well as eight great-grandchildren who brought him immense joy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert C. and Delora (Lindberg) Anderson, but leaves behind a legacy of love and commitment that will be remembered by all who knew him. Glenn's unexpected departure has left a void in the hearts of his family and friends, and he will be greatly missed.
