Edwin C Rasmussen

Edwin C. Rasmussen, age 71, of Rock Island, IL. died on Tuesday, August 21, 2007, at Trinity Pathway Hospice in Bettendorf, IA. Edwin C. Rasmussen was born on February 23, 1936, to Edwin and Marie (Vesely) Rasmussen in Chicago, IL. He married Vee I. Nielsen on August 31, 1957, in Rock Island, IL. He was employed in sales for Engineered Equipment and Services for twenty-five years, retiring in 1998. Ed was a member of St.James Lutheran Church, Rock Island, and a member of the Rock Island Family Campers. He loved camping, fishing, the outdoors, and automobiles. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 24th from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at Wendt Funeral Home in Moline, IL. Services will be held on Saturday, August 25th at 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens in Silvis, IL. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Survivors include: his wife; a daughter, Laura Rasmussen of Minneapolis, MN; two sons: Mike (Carol) Rasmussen of LaCrosse, WI, and Jeff (Angie) Rasmussen of Rock Island, IL; and four grandchildren: Andrea Dunmire, and Abbi, Aden, and Andrew Rasmussen. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a daughter, Cindy.
