Donald Snell, 76, of Moline, IL, died Thursday, January 12, 2012, at Trinity Medical Center in Rock Island, IL. A visitation will be held Tuesday, January 17th, from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m., at Wendt Funeral Home in Moline, with services at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be in National Cemetery on Arsenal Island, Rock Island. Memorials may be made to the family. Donald Snell was born in Moline on March 11, 1935, to Howard and Creta (Harrod) Snell. He served in the U.S. Air Force, spending time in Germany, and was employed for a time as an inspector in the aerospace industry. He enjoyed wood-working, loved to dance, and was an unbelievable mathematician. Survivors include sisters: Irene Rosenboom of Moline, and Marita (Harlan) Taber of San Mateo, CA; a brother: Yandel Snell of Newport Beach, CA; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.
