David “DC” Brown, 86, of Moline, IL, died Thursday, November 10, 2016, at Aperion Care Center in East Moline, IL. There will be no visitation. A graveside service will be held at Moline Memorial Park Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 15th. Arrangements are being handled by Wendt Funeral Home in Moline. David Clair Brown was born August 11, 1930, in Yutan, NE, a son of Charles and Lillian Brown. In the spring of 1954, he married Norma L. Sneed, who preceded him in death in 2015. He was an electrician, and a proud member of the IBEW and the UAW. He worked for many years for the Rock Island Lines Railroad, and then retired from Deere & Company in 1992. He had been a member and Deacon of First Christian Church in Moline. He is survived by a son, Kevin Brown, of Pleasant Hill, IA; and a granddaughter, Michelle, of Brinkley, AR. Preceding him in death were his parents, his wife, Norma, and a son, David, who died in 2009.
