Darrell L. Bedwell, born on April 7, 1944, in Red Oak, Iowa, passed away on January 16, 2026, at Allure of the Quad Cities in Moline, Illinois. He lived a life marked by hard work, creativity, and deep family love.

Throughout his career, Darrell dedicated himself to the trucking industry before taking the brave step of becoming a business owner. He initially opened Darrell's Body Shop, where he applied his skills and passion. Later, he expanded his endeavors with Creative Accents, a graphic sign business that showcased his artistic talents.

Darrell held various interests that enriched his life. He was an avid enthusiast of race cars and enjoyed the thrill they brought. Additionally, he cherished the time spent hunting and shared a special bond with his dog, Ollie, who was a constant companion.

Darrell is survived by his beloved wife, Alberta Willems, and their children: sons Tim, Tom, and Bruce, along with Bruce's wife, Melissa. He took immense pride in his family, which also includes his grandchildren: T.J. and Liz, Joe, Ryan and Tiffany, Brenna and Jeromy, Emma, Hadleigh, Sean and Brittany, and Mackenzie, as well as thirteen great-grandchildren who brought him great joy.

Also remembered fondly are his sister, Carolyn Worthen, a special nephew, Ron, his sisters-in-law, Sally and Barb, and his buddies John, Darrell, Jim, Carl, and Tom, who played significant roles in his life.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Bernice (Burnison) Bedwell.

Darrell L. Bedwell leaves behind a legacy of dedication to family and career, along with cherished memories that will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
