In Loving Memory of Daina Marie Lewis
It is with deep sorrow that we share the passing of Daina Marie Lewis, who departed this life on May 11th, just days before her 50th birthday. She approached life with gratitude and enthusiasm, celebrating each moment and inspiring others to do the same.
Daina was a devoted mother, wife, daughter, sister, niece, aunt, and friend. While her husband of 24 years and her children were the center of her universe, all who knew her were recipients of her boundless love. Daina was a radiant soul whose presence brought comfort and joy to all.
Daina was a certified yoga instructor and dedicated over two decades to guiding others toward wellness and inner peace. Her professional dream came to fruition with the opening of her own yoga studio, “Shine”. Her work was more than a profession—it was a manifestation of her deep commitment to nurturing the mind, body, and spirit of her students. As we mourn her loss, we also celebrate the profound impact Daina had on our lives. Her legacy of kindness, resilience, and spiritual insight will continue to inspire and guide us.
Daina was preceded in death by maternal grandparents George and Clara Knaack, paternal grandparents Jack and Gwen Scott, paternal step-grandparents Edward and Theresa Werthmann, in-laws Douglas and Carol Lewis, sister-in-law Suzy Lewis, and uncle Gerry Werthmann.
Daina is survived by husband James Lewis, sons Aidan, Jack, and Sean Lewis, mother Collie Sutton, brother Joel (Mary) Werthmann, father Ross Scott, step father Ken Werthmann, brother in-laws Andrew (Kirsten Hedegaard) Lewis, Gregg (Sarah) Lewis, and Russ Lewis, sister-in-law Colby (John) Walls, and many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, who will never forget the love she brought to their lives.
