Curtis Crosby, born on July 12, 1956, in Robinsdale, Minnesota, passed away at his residence in Moline on January 19, 2026. He was the cherished son of Russell and Lila (Foreman) Crosby, with his mother, Lila, surviving him. Curtis was a beloved sibling to Crystal (Steve) Rogers, Cindy Crosby, Chuck (Ahna Hoke) Crosby, and Carey Crosby. He was a devoted father to his two children, Katie Dudley and Christopher (Tierney Fischer) Crosby, and a proud grandfather to his grandchildren, Nicholas, Noah, and Princeton Jr. In addition, he is survived by his nephews, Jason and Caleb Crosby.
Curtis dedicated over 30 years to his career with UPS, where he took immense pride in his work and developed a reputation for being sociable, knowing everyone, and never meeting a stranger, an enduring legacy of his years with the company. He graduated from Moline High School in 1973 and carried his caring, kind nature throughout his life, often described as very selfless and sometimes too kind.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Curtis had a vigorous enthusiasm for life. His hobbies included fishing, snowmobiling, and traveling north to Michigan and Wisconsin, pursuits that brought him great joy. A true Chicago Bears and Chicago Cubs fan, he found pleasure in cheering for his teams. Additionally, he held a strong interest in HO train sets, which he enjoyed working with.
Curtis will be remembered for his warm spirit, social nature, and kindness toward all those around him.
His visitation will be held at Wendt Funeral Home in Moline, Illinois, on January 24, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by a memorial service at 2:00 PM.
Curtis leaves behind a legacy of love and friendship that will remain in the hearts of those who knew him.
