IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Chris David
Malmloff
November 9, 1962 – November 15, 2025
Chris David Malmloff, aka Mumbles, 63, of Moline, IL, passed away on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at his residence surrounded by his loving wife, Nancy, and their two dogs.
Chris was born in Moline Public Hospital on November 9.1962, to Janet (Pearson) and Melvin Malmloff.
He graduated from MHS in 1981 and attended Black Hawk Jr. College and Scott Community College in Auto Body. He was really proud of the cars, hearse, and pumps he painted for Earl (Buck) Wendt before finding the IBEW Local 145 brotherhood. Being a journeyman commercial industrial electrician was a passion for 35 years. Another passion was boating on both the Rock and Mississippi rivers, and a love of music (Frank and Dweezil Zappa). He had over 300 albums!
Chris knew someone practically everywhere in the QCA. From old haunts like the Belgrade to Hard Times. Everyone became a friend.
Chris was preceded in death by his father, Melvin Malmloff; Step-Mother Pat Malmloff, grandparents Augie and Bertha Malmloff, and Arnie and Mildred Pearson. Also, his very best friend, Steve Parks.
Left to remember him are his loving wife, Nancy (Beyhl); daughter, Brittany Ranson; his mother, Janet (Terry) Strader; brother, Erik (Jen King) Malmloff; sister, Kathy Malmloff-Horrell; as well as brother-in-law, Ralph (Barb) Beyhl, and Keith (Carol) Beyhl. Step-daughter Alexis (Bryce) Lote, Step-son Jeremy (Kristin James) Sturniolo, and his grandchildren: Norah, Nehemiah, and Gianna Lote, and Riley and Hayden James. Also, his beloved dogs, Bridgett and Abby.
