Caralee Davis (Cant), born February 25, 1964, in Moline, Illinois, passed away peacefully on June 19, 2026, at the University of Iowa Hospitals after a courageous battle with cancer. She was 62 years old. Throughout her life, Caralee embodied resilience, compassion, and grace, leaving a lasting impression on all who were fortunate to know her.

Caralee was a proud graduate of United Township High School, Class of 1982. She went on to attend Black Hawk College, where she earned her degree as a respiratory therapist alongside her sister, Wendy. Caralee dedicated her professional life to caring for others, working 18 years at Trinity Medical Center, followed by 10 years at Select Healthcare, and most recently serving at Hammond Henry Hospital for the past three years. Her career reflected her deep compassion and commitment to caring for others.

Caralee found her greatest joy in time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was an avid crafter who loved creating special projects with them, making memories that will be treasured forever. She also enjoyed RV camping, boating, and traveling, often sharing these adventures with her husband, children, sister, and brother-in-law. Her life was rooted in love, connection, and creating meaningful moments.

She is survived by her loving husband, Shane Davis, whose partnership and unwavering support were constants throughout her life. She is also survived by her father, Gary Cant, and stepmother, Pam Cant. Her legacy lives on through her children, Joey (Tina) Garcia and Breanna (Chas Beaulieu) Davis; her cherished grandchildren, Barrett Beaulieu and Isabella Beaulieu; and her siblings, Wendy (Sam) Davis, Dana (Jack) Hoskins, Leanne (Lew) Averaino, Jason Cant, Christopher (Jessica) Cant, and Dustin Cant, along with many nieces and nephews.

Caralee was preceded in death by her mother, Joyce Cant, and her brother, Timothy Cant. Their memory remained close to her heart throughout her life.

Known for her compassionate and loving nature, Caralee was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who consistently placed others before herself. Even during her illness, she remained a source of strength, offering comfort and kindness to those around her. Her perseverance and selflessness were an inspiration to all who knew her.
