Burton B. LeVine, 74, passed away Tuesday, March 30, 2010, in Salinas, CA. He was born May 6, 1935 in Pittsburgh, PA. An unconventional, irreverent warrior has left us. He told great jokes, returned repartee, loved home as well as exotic places, was a loyal friend, admired dogs, and became a thoughtful husband. We know that he has marched onto the next plane of existence with good health and great glee. Love from your wife, Donna L. Bessant, and best dog, Dr. Pepper. A visitation will be held Thursday, April 8th, at Wendt Funeral Home in Moline, IL, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon, when the service will commence. Burial will be in National Cemetery on Arsenal Island in Rock Island, IL, with full Military Honors accorded by American Legion Post #246. Memorials may be made to Paralyzed Veterans of America. California arrangements were handled by Struve and Laporte Chapel.
