Beverly Lee, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on February 25, 2026, at the age of 87, at Park Vista Assisted Living in East Moline, Illinois. Born on April 17, 1938, in Moline, Beverly was a force of nature known for her sweet yet feisty personality, qualities that endeared her to all who were fortunate to know her.

Beverly dedicated many years of her life to her career, proudly working at John Deere before becoming an entrepreneur as the owner of Bev and Dan's Tap in Silvis, IL. After decades of diligent work, she retired from John Deere.

Educated through high school, Beverly’s passion extended well beyond her professional life. An avid reader with a particular fondness for Danielle Steel novels, she also discovered joy in the arts. Beverly loved sewing and crafts, showcasing her creative talents. Her artistry even earned her an award for a drawing dedicated to the Alzheimer's Association, a cause close to her heart.

Beverly was a loving mother to her sons, Billy (Tammy) Long of Moline, IL, and Daniel Long of Aurora, CO. She cherished the bond she shared with her grandchildren, Alaina (Corry) Norman, Brianna (Ty) Taylor, Chelsea Long, Dylan Long, Douglas (Jenny) Garver, Christy Garver, Brandon (Janai) Long, and Ashley Long, as well as her 18 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Each grandchild and great-grandchild held a special place in her heart, and the love they shared will forever be etched in their memories. Beverly is also survived by her loving brother, Willard (Mary) James, along with several nieces and nephews.

She will be deeply missed by her family and friends, whose lives she touched with her warmth and spirit.

Preceding her in death were her beloved parents, Ervin L. and Eleanor (Enderton) James; her cherished husband, Dan, whom she married on April 16, 1983; her sister, Barb Andrew; and her daughters, Paula Long and Linda Garver. The loss of her daughter-in-law, Joan Murphy, also weighed heavily on her heart, along with a special niece, Debbie Covault.

Beverly's legacy of love and resilience will carry on through her family, friends, and the countless lives she impacted during her remarkable journey. Her visitation will be held on Thursday, March 5, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at Wendt Funeral Home in Moline, IL, starting at 1:00 PM. She will be laid to rest at Riverside Cemetery, Moline, following the funeral service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.

As we say goodbye to Beverly Lee, we celebrate a life lived with passion, creativity, and an unwavering commitment to family. May her spirit live on in the hearts of all who loved her.

Family and friends are invited to share memories and condolences on her memory page at www.wendtfuneralhome.com.
