Benjamin Roberto Reyes, 56, of Moline, IL, passed away on Sunday, July 27, 2025, at his residence.
Arrangements are in the care of Wendt Funeral Home, 1811 15th Street Place, Moline, IL.
Benjamin “Ben” Reyes was born on November 11, 1968, in Davenport, Iowa, the beloved son of Roberto Reyes and Linda Sue Cunningham. He entered the world alongside his identical twin brother, Roberto Reyes, with whom he shared a lifelong, unbreakable bond with.
Ben attended North Scott High School, where he made many lasting friendships. A lifelong sports enthusiast, he was a devoted fan of NASCAR, the Atlanta Braves, and the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Although Ben never had children of his own (he had three step children he adored) he poured his heart into his animals — they were his pride and joy. His dogs, Pearl, P.J., Bear, and Sassy, were truly his kids. He also had a hilarious obsession with a bird that “got away” — a story anyone close to him could smile about.
Ben is survived by his twin brother, Robert Reyes; his sisters, Becky (Rosa Dell) and Laura Watts, both of Davenport, Iowa; 27 nieces and nephews who adored their Uncle Ben; and many loving cousins and extended family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, his sister Joanna Hulsey, his uncle Darwin Tinnian, and his sister-in-law Andrea Padilla.
Ben will be remembered for his big heart, loyal spirit, and deep love for both his family and his furry companions. He leaves behind a legacy of laughter, love, and unforgettable memories. He will be missed beyond measure.
Family and friends are invited to share memories and express condolences to the family on his Memory Page at wendtfuneralhome.com
