Tony Rowe, 55, of Ulysses, KS, formerly of Moline, IL, passed away Tuesday, November 15, 2022, in Ulysses. He was born December 17, 1966, in Moline, IL, to Arlon James and Sherry (Havens) Rowe.

Tony grew up in Illinois and graduated from Moline High School. He had been a flight attendant for Continental Airlines and flew worldwide. Tony was also a Captain at Walt Disney World Jungle Cruise in Orlando, FL. He married Julia Traster on July 2, 2012, in McAlester, OK. Tony loved to fish, work on cars, and was good with dogs, cats, and especially children. A friendly person, he loved to entertain, tell jokes and stories, and laugh. Tony will be remembered for being a genuine person and caring for others.

Tony is survived by his wife Julia, Ulysses, KS; step-son, Joshua Thomason, Topeka, KS; father, Arlon Rowe, McAlester, OK; sister, Susan Woodison and husband Jim, Plainfield, IL; several nieces and nephews and several uncles, aunts, and cousins.

Tony was preceded in death by his mother, Sherry Rowe, in June 2021.

Memorial service will be Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at 10:00 am at the First United Methodist Church in Ulysses with Reverend Todd Guinn officiating. A family inurnment will be held at a later date at the Ulysses Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Furever Friends Humane Society of Grant County in care of Garnand Funeral Home, 405 W. Grant Ave., Ulysses, KS 67880, or a local one of the donor's choice.

There will be a second memorial service on Saturday, November 26, 2022, at 11:00 am, at Wendt Funeral Home, Moline, with visitation from 9:00 am to 11:00 am prior to the service.
