Ronald Hoppensteadt, 50, of Cary, IL, died Saturday, January 7, 2012. Per his wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. A Memorial Church Service will be held Saturday, January 14th, at 11:00 a.m., at Shepherd of the Prairie Church, 10805 Main Street, Huntley, IL 60142. Local arrangements are being handled by Wendt Funeral Home in Moline, IL. Memorials may be made to the family. Ronald F. Hoppensteadt was born February 18, 1961, to Donald and Barbara (Barth) Hoppensteadt in Chicago, IL. He graduated from Lane Technical High School in Chicago, and received his Associate degree from AA Wright Junior College. He was formerly employed in the IT department at EDS, and most recently worked as an installer for Dish Network in Davenport, IA. He enjoyed the outdoors, archery, remote control airplanes, and flying. In addition to his wife, Dawn (Powers) Hoppensteadt of Cary, IL, and his parents of Huntley, IL, survivors include: sons, Matthew (Megan) Hoppensteadt of Shreveport, LA, and Alex (Kaitlin) Hoppensteadt of Cary, IL; a sister, Juli Hoppensteadt of Galena, IL; and a brother, Jim Hoppensteadt of Downers Grove, IL.
