Julie A. Foster

February 14, 1964 — March 17, 2024

Julie Anette Foster, age 60, much-loved sister, aunt, and friend died peacefully on Sunday, March 17, 2024, in her home in Moline, Illinois. She was born February 14, 1964, in Aledo, Illinois, the daughter of Raymond and Patricia Foster.


Julie spent her youth in Princeton, Illinois. Her love of horses led her to a job at Ky-Wa Acres. She was active in concert choir and the Madrigal singers in Princeton High School. After graduating high school in 1982, Julie attended Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington, Illinois, and Columbia College in Chicago, Illinois, where she focused on her love of music.


For about ten years, Julie worked as a nanny in Illinois and in Maryland which allowed her to travel to Europe. Upon returning to the Quad City area, she worked as a pharmacy technician for Walgreens until her retirement in 2020. She enjoyed photography, reading, music, especially opera, and her cockatiel, Pumpkin.


Julie is survived by her three siblings: Rae Foster of Rock Island, Illinois; Paul Foster of Sun City, Arizona; Carol Foster (David Flory) of Goodyear, Arizona; two nieces: Megan Foster and Nicole (Foster) Sides; one nephew: Zavier Foster; as well as, three grandnieces: Ayla Sides, Amara Foster, and Journey Foster. She leaves behind numerous loving relatives. Preceding her in death are her mother and father, Patricia (McMahon) and Raymond Foster, grandparents, an aunt, and two uncles.


A Celebration of Life will be held in Illinois at a later date.
