Bonnie L Baker

Bonnie L. Baker, 70, of Coal Valley, IL, went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, March 1, 2011, at Select Specialty Hospital in Davenport, IA. Visitation will be Sunday, March 6th, from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., at Wendt Funeral Home in Moline, IL. Services will be Monday, March 7th, at 10:30 a.m., at the funeral home. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Moline. Memorials may be made to Rock Island County Animal Care & Control, or to the family. Bonnie L. Shuda was born in Rock Island, IL, on April 3, 1940, to Walter S. and Elsie Ruth (Hoxsey) Shuda. On June 4, 1960, in Rock Island, IL, she married Harland N. Baker, who preceded her in death on March 13, 2009. She graduated in the Rock Island High Class of 1958, and was employed during her life, at Danaway Bus Lines, Highland Park Bowl, and Regalia Flag Co. in Rock Island. She was a WBA member, and bowled on numerous Quad City leagues. She loved traveling to Womens National, and State bowling tournaments. She also enjoyed attending the "Second Winders" luncheons at Edgewood Baptist Church, and especialy loved spending time with her family, and her granddog, Ollie. Survivors include: a son: Brad Baker of Coal Valley; a daughter: Brenda Baker of Rock Island; a sister-in-law: Ginger Shuda of Bull Head, AZ; aunts: Marie DeNolf and Betty Shuda; numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many special friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and her brother, Jim Shuda.
