Barbara Nee Lindell Hillyer

Barbara (nee Lindell) Hillyer, 85, of Moline, IL, passed away Wednesday, April 15, 2015, at Heartland Health Care Center in Moline. Per her wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. Services will be Monday, April 20th, at 6:00 pm at Grace Bible Missionary Church, 266 – 29th Avenue, East Moline, IL 61244 Memorials may be made to Grace Bible Missionary Church. Barbara was born in Moline on March 1, 1930, daughter of Nels G. and Edna (Miner) Lindell. She graduated with the Moline High School Class of 1947. For many years she was a Radio Dispatcher with the Moline Police and Fire Departments, retiring in 1993. She attended Grace Bible Missionary Church in East Moline. Barbara loved helping everyone, and cherished time with her family. She spent her life loving God and looked forward to spending eternity with Him. She is resting peacefully now with loved ones gone before, no doubt having fun reuniting with her best friend, Zeke Maddox. Survivors include daughter Beverly May of Glendale, AZ; sons Christopher (Debi) Hillyer of Moline, Tom (Denise) Reedy of Coal Valley, IL, and Damon Nimrick of Minnesota; a sister Carolyn (Rune) Oberg of Moline; brothers Nels R. Lindell of Moline, and John (Sharon) Lindell of Paragould, AK; twelve grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
