Inez Jane Laedeke

Inez Jane Laedeke, 92, of Rock Island, IL, passed away Sunday, April 22, 2012, at Trinity Medical Center in Rock Island, IL.

Visitation will be Tuesday, April 24th, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., at Wendt Funeral Home in Moline, IL. Services will be at the funeral home on Wednesday, April 25th, at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be at Rock Island Memorial Park Cemetery in Rock Island.

Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church in Moline, or to the family for memorials at Lincoln Park in Rock Island, the Quad City Botanical Center in Rock Island, or Ben Butterworth Parkway in Moline.

Inez Jane Beckman was born in New Liberty, IA, on September 11, 1919, to William and Wanda (Meyer) Beckman. After graduating from Davenport High School in 1937, she married Cliff Heinzel in 1941 in Moline, and later, in 1974, married Robert Laedeke who died in 1996.

Over the years, she was employed at GMAC, CIT in Davenport, IA, and Miami, FL, Deere & Company in Moline, and , in 1979, retired from KJWW Engineering Consultants in Rock Island. She belonged to the First Baptist Church in Moline.

Jane always had her camera in her hand, and was an excellent baker. She followed tennis and golf, enjoyed traveling, tennis, and playing cards and the piano. Friends and family knew her to be a very kind, loving, and thoughtful person, who truly lived the Christian life.

Survivors include her son, Kurt (Karen) Heinzel, and grandson, Karl, all of Moline.
