Anna Wadsager Griffin, 97, of East Moline, IL, formerly of Rock Island, IL, died Monday, March 19, 2012, at Park Vista Retirement Living.

Visitation will be Thursday, March 22nd, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., at Wendt Funeral Home in Moline. Services will be Friday, March 23rd, at 10:30 a.m., at the funeral home. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens, Silvis, IL.

Memorials may be made to Alzheimers Association or Parkinson's Disease Foundation.

Anna Ruby Richards was born in Spencer, IA, on February 1, 1915, to Henry and Bertha (Bertelsen) Richards. She was married to Henry Wadsager until his death on February 26, 1963. Then, in Moline, on November 18, 1966, she married Elmer Leonard Griffin, who preceded her in death January 20, 2012.

She was employed in the cafeteria at United Township High School in East Moline, for 18 years, retiring in 1972. She was a member of the Two Rivers Methodist Church in Rock Island. She enjoyed her family and grandchildren, and she always loved being a mother.

Survivors include: two daughters: Patricia (Jim) Gerhardt of Geneseo, IL, and Sandra (Jack) Kincaid of Moline; four sons: Eugene (Shirley) Wadsager and George (Sally) Wadsager, all of East Moline, Herbert Wadsager of Sun City Center, FL, and Robert (Jana) Wadsager of Arlington Heights, IL; two stepsons: David (Rita) Griffin and Ronald (Claudia) Griffin, all of Milan, IL; fifteen grandchildren, twenty-eight great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents, a sister: Margaret Hansen, and four brothers: Charles, Eugene, Hugh, and Wayne Richards.
